3 new Eagle Scouts in Quincy

Quincy has three new Eagle Scouts. From the left, Blake Marcusen, Garrett Gillmore and Hamilton Hyer received the highest rank in Boy Scouting, the Eagle Scout award, on Feb. 17. The Scouts, all of whom are with Troop 76, also honored Irvin Howe with a mentor’s award. Howe has been actively involved as a Scout leader for nearly 50 years in Quincy, and has helped many young men earn the merit badges required to receive their Eagle Scout awards. Marcusen is the son of Allen and Linda Marcusen. Gillmore is the son of Jim and Mary Gillmore. And Hyer is the son of Reed and Chelan Hyer. The families are from Quincy.
