The Lady Jacks shot just 16 percent from the floor in Tuesday’s loss to Ephrata.

For Quincy, Desi Durfee dropped in 11 points and had two steals, while Ephrata’s Mallory Lotz had 12 points.

The Lady Jacks also had seven points and seven rebounds from Dayanna Lopez and seven points and six rebounds from Taylor Kunkel.

Wapato 39, Quincy 28

The Lady Jacks had a solid first quarter, but could not hold off fourth-place Wapto throughout the next three quarters.

AJ Yarlott and Sammy Jo Blodgett each tallied 11 points in the low scoring affair for the Lady Wolves (10-6). Quincy (6-10) was led by Dayanna Lopez’s 11 points.

Othello 62, Quincy 48

The Lady Jacks battled Othello for 25 minutes last Thursday, exchanging leads eight times. But the final lead change with just under seven minutes to go seemed to shift all the momentum to the Lady Huskies (7-9).

This was also the point in the game Christine Kirkwood and Tiffany Martinez took control of the game. Kirkwood scored nine of her 27 points and Martinez dropped in eight of her 17 points to break open the game with a 20-5 run to end the game.

“They blew up for 24 points in the fourth,” coach Cully Donovan said.

While the Lady Huskies heated up late, Quincy’s shooting got ice cold. They could not hit a lay-in, five-footer or 3-pointer down the stretch, despite finding shots. They were 18-of-64 for the game or 28 percent and hit just two shots in the fourth quarter and three free throws.

Dayanna Lopez led Quincy with 20 points, eight rebounds and four steals, while her sister Marisol had four points, nine
