Robert A. Faw
Robert A. Faw, 87, of Quincy, went home to be with our heavenly Father, Saturday, March 6, 2010.
He was born Nov. 18, 1922, to Charles and Verla Faw in Sunnyside, and was raised on a farm in Vale, Ore. After serving his country in the armed services during World War II, he fell in love and married Dorothy Bremerthon in September of 1948, his loving bride for 61 years.
They moved to Washington in 1951 with his father and brother and pioneered one of the first farms established as part of the Columbia Basin Irrigation Project. He continued to farm with his family in Quincy for the last 59 years.

Bob had a love for God, life, family and had a passion for farming. He is remembered by his family as a devoted husband, father and grandpa. Bob had a heart for supporting missionaries around the world and was an active member of the Ephrata First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his loving wife, Dorothy; his six children: Carol VanDyke, Donna Montgomery, Diane West, Russ Faw, Don Faw and Mark Faw; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; his brother, Harold Faw and sister, Betty Duncan.
The family wishes to expresses a special thank you to Dr. Aguilu and Dr. Wm. Murray for their care and support throughout the many years of service.
Visitation will be held from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel, 3rd Avenue and G Street SE, Quincy.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held at noon on Thursday, March 11, 2010 at the First Baptist Church of Ephrata, 327 C St. SW, Ephrata.
Donations may be made as a memorial to the missions fund at Ephrata First Baptist Church.
Arrangements are under the direction of Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy.
