Golf

Suncadia Invite

Kaylee Keller fired a 62-53--115 at Suncadia Golf Course last week, while teammate Karisa Arizmendi shot a 60-59--119 in the 22-team Suncadia invitational. The medalist honors went to Chelan’s Kelli Bowers 42-34--76 and Anna Bourland 39-37--76.

At Ellensburg

High winds pushed the scores upward last week in Ellensburg. Of the 24 players on the course, 16 scored in excess of 100 and the Quincy contingent were first-time players at the Ellensburg Golf Course.

“There are very few days when players experience conditions as extreme as they played in today,” said coach Earl Wolf. “The conditions were tough.”

Selah 381, Ellensburg 412, Grandview 447, Quincy 472.

Medalist: Kyle Yates (Selah).

Quincy scores: Jeremy Guthas 115, Aaron Greenwalt 117, Kip Slusher 117, Josh Schwint 123.

Baseball

The QHS baseball team was swepted by Selah on Saturday 13-2 and 12-1. The Vikings (16-2) hit eight home runs on the day and racked up 24 hits.

The Jacks (8-10) travelled to Ephrata on Wednesday for a play-in game.
