Top 10 QHS graduates make future plans

Becca Boen
Full name: Rebecca Marie Boen.
Parents: Rick and Janet Boen.
School activities: Volleyball, dance, cheerleading, tennis, Link Crew, National Honor Society.
Favorite high school memories: All of the time that I have spent with my friends.
Plans after graduation: I will be attending Washington State University in the fall, and I plan to major in psychology.
Holly Grigg
Full name: Holly Starr Grigg.
Parents: Lorin and Gail Grigg.
School activities: Track and field, soccer, basketball.
Favorite high school memories: Soccer my freshman year. Hanging with Ryanne Durfee, Selina Longoria and Melissa Harris (TP, anyone?). Spending countless days at the pole vault pit with Coach Alex, my second dad. And opening for LeeAnn Rimes!
Plans after graduation: More singing. Northwest tour with national Christian band Rush of Fools, Creation Festival at the Gorge, off to Israel in February with church.
Eliseo Guerrero
Full name: Eliseo Guerrero.
Parents: Eliseo and Hortensia Guerrero.
School activities: Soccer, MECHA, National Honor Society, Science Bowl, Knowledge Bowl.
Favorite high school memories: When the male teachers dressed up as cheerleaders and sang ‘The 12 Days of Christmas.’
Plans after graduation: To go to Wenatchee Valley College and do the radiology technology program or work on my associate’s degree and transfer.
Gabino Guerrero
Full name: Gabino Guerrero.
Parents: Jesus F. and Marta Guerrero.
School activities: basketball cinematographer/statkeeper, Envirothon, Science Bowl, Knowledge Bowl, chess club, drama club, Key Club.
Favorite high school memories: When I bought a go-phone, activated it, got someone to throw it up in the ceiling during Ms. Allard’s class and called it the next day. She was confused because she didn’t know where the noise was coming from. It was hilarious!
Plans after graduation: I plan to work during the summer and then move to Florida, where I will be attending Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University to pursue a bachelor of arts in aerospace engineering.
Kevin Hille
Full name: Kevin Matthew Hille.
Parents: Dale and Pam Hille.
School activities: Football, track and field, choir, chess club, National Honor Society, Knowledge Bowl.
Favorite high school memories: The senior trip was awesome, chanting for random people and making their days. Cheering on “Jeff” to win in the go-cart races.
Plans after graduation: Go to Washington State University, try and walk on to the football team and get a degree in mechanical or material engineering.
Becky Hoyt
Full name: Becky Anne Hoyt.
Parents: Kirby and Laura Hoyt.
School activities: FFA, FBLA, Link Crew, tennis.
Favorite high school memories: Showing my first steer at the Grant County Fair, the reserve grand champion.
Plans after graduation: Attending Western Washington University to pursue and study pre-medicine.
Michael Lemon
Full name: Michael David Lemon.
Parents: Dave and Allyson Lemon.
School activities: Track and field, basketball, football, FBLA, Key Club, National Honor Society, class officer.
Favorite high school memories: The fun at track and field meets, playing football for Coach Alex and getting an A-minus from Mr. Petersen.
Plans after graduation: Attending Washington State University, majoring in accounting and minoring in agricultural business.
Christian Ramon
Full name: Christian Soraida Ramon Ramos.
Parents: Juan Cruz and Flora Ramos.
School activities: National Honor Society, MECHA, yearbook staff, soccer, Link Crew, Mis Sueños.
Favorite high school memories: The WSU field trip. We went to tour the campus and that’s one of my best memories with my friends.
Plans after graduation: Big Bend Community College for the nursing program, then transfer to the University of Washington or John Hopkins University to get a master’s degree in public health.
Katie Weber
Full name: Katelyn Marie Weber.
Parents: Randy and Bernie Weber.
School activities: National Honor Society, cross country, tennis, Link Crew, FFA, drill team manager.
Favorite high school memories: My favorite high school memory would have to be anything that happened in Ms. Murray’s sophomore honors English class. There are far too many memories from that class to pick just one.
Plans after graduation: This summer I will be babysitting full time for Melva and Rex Calloway, and I will be working part time at Studio 90 Health Connection. This fall I will be attending Eastern Washington University. My goal is to become an elementary teacher. Hopefully in the future I will be teaching somewhere around here.
Tim Weber
Full name: Timothy Aaron Weber.
Parents: David and Harriet Weber.
School activities: ASB vice president, track and field, drama club, National Honor Society, Columbia basin Association of Student Councils representative.
Favorite high school memories: My favorite memory was going to state my senior year to watch our basketball team play. I also love going to support the teams at football/volleyball/basketball games.
Plans after graduation: I am going to attend Eastern Washington University next fall in order to earn a master’s degree in occupational therapy. I want to work with children who have needs with their motor skills.
