Boys soccer team scores nominations
The Quincy High School boys soccer team scored two nominations for the North Central Washington Sports Awards, which will be handed out June 29 in Wenatchee.
The squad, which won the Central Washington Athletic Conference league and district titles and advanced to the state tournament this season, is nominated for the Male Team award, while head coach Tom Turner is up for Male Team Coach.
Quincy High School has had success with the NCW Awards in the past; Bob Duda won Male Coach of the Year in 1998 and Scott Alexander and Scott Bierlink won the High School Male Athlete award in back-to-back years in 1999 and 2000.
