Preschool welcomes two new teachers

The Loving and Learning Preschool will start the school year with new staff.
Cecilia Dearie has been hired as the lead teacher and Yana Volkova will join the staff as a teacher assistant. Both have a heart for children and will be a positive addition to the preschool, according to a press release from the preschool.
Loving and Learning Preschool is located at St. Paul Lutheran Church. For information about the preschool’s program, call 398-0950.

Kwon Family Dentistry participates in free health clinic in Spokane

Quincy’s Dr. Paul Kwon and Dr. Jay Magnuson, along with registered dental assistants Erendira Venegas and Jeanie Redberg, participated at the Your Best Pathway to Health event on Aug. 3-4 at the Spokane County Fair and Expo Center in Spokane.
For the event, the fairgrounds was transformed into a working field hospital with more than 100 physicians, dentists and opthamologists. More than 3,000 patients received no-cost medical, dental and eye care in the mega-clinic setting over the two-day event, according to a press release from Kwon Family Dentistry. More than 1,500 volunteers from across the country and world participated, according to the press release.
The dental clinic offered a variety of dental treatments, from dental cleanings to oral surgery. Residents of the Inland Northwest received an estimated $8 million of free care at the event, according to the press release.
