Carlos “Chale” Reyes

Carlos (Chale) Reyes passed away on Thursday, Sept. 3, 2015. He was born Dec. 17, 1929, in San Rafael Ranch near Edinburg, Texas. He began working at a young age for Charles Sterling Farms, where he met his love of his life Lola and they began their life together.
obit, Carlos Reyes PhotoIn 1956, he moved his family from Texas to Washington, where he settled and remained in Quincy to raise his family. He continued to work in the agricultural field for various farmers in the Quincy area.
He had six children, Carlos (Debbie) Reyes of Kennewick; Maria Arizmendi of Quincy; Sylvia (Pat) Teters of Yampa, Colo; and Irma Reyes of Quincy.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Lola; a son, Hector Reyes; and a daughter, Margie Longoria. He had 17 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
He loved fishing and hunting, where he spent most of his time bonding with his children and grandchildren. He will be truly missed by all his loved ones.
Mom and Dad, you are now together in heaven. We love you!
Holy Rosary was recited on Tuesday, Sept. 8, 2015, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy. Mass of the Christian Burial was celebrated on Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, with burial following at the Quincy Valley Cemetery.
