Challenge accepted

The Wayne Mckenzie Green & Gold Dual was the first showcase of the season for the Quincy wrestling team and the deciding factor of who would be in the varsity lineup this weekend.
Spectators were welcomed at the annual challenge, which featured up to 26 matches overall and 13 matches to determine who will open the season on the varsity roster.
All 14 weight brackets had matches, but only 13 were challenges.  In the end, the varsity lineup for Saturday’s Bob Mars Invite at Kennewick High School was set.

Raul Barrajas 7-4; 136- John Lindquist p. Yordi Trejo; 145-Ricardo Estrada p. Marco Blancas; 152-Tanner Wallace p. Ray Robinson; 160-Andy Vargas md. Jorge Ruiz 9-1; 170-Iche Ramirez p. Skylar Hobson; 182-Steven Gomez md. Andy Reynolds 9-1; 195-Cade Wallace md. Julio Plascencia 10-0; 220-Sammy Rodriguez d. Eduardo Balderas, DQ; 285-Rey Rubio p. Abel Chavez.
Lady Jacks
The Lady Jacks will head to Kennewick with six wrestlers.   100-Corina Camacho; 105-Kateri Rowell; 110-Claribel Gamboa; 125-Dezarae Westra; 130-Zahlee Stephens; 170-Mia Villarreal.
