We are currently seeking a motivated and talented individual for the Journeyman Electrical Technician position at our location in George, WA. Our ideal candidate is a highly driven individual with strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical experience. Typical responsibilities include installing, troubleshooting, diagnosis, and repair of electrical systems related to irrigation on-site.

What you would be doing:
• Assist with the technical training provided to our customers in agriculture • Work on electrical components including control panels, motors, variable frequency drives (VFD), relay circuits, wiring, sensors, switches, timers, solenoids, gear drives, transformers, voltmeters, fuses, generators, and converters • Instruct the growers in areas of electrical installation, mechanical erection, and equipment programming
• Educate the end-users on safe irrigation equipment practices, proper equipment operation and basic equipment troubleshooting • Ability to work with high voltage AC, 3 phase, 460V, and low voltage DC systems.
What it takes:
Required Qualifications
• Five years of professional work experience in electrical, troubleshooting/repair/installation or technical school degree • A valid U.S. driver’s license • The ability to work overtime when required and work in the outdoors • A working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint • The ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly throughout the shift.
Preferred Qualifications
• Previous work experience with customer service • Agribusiness background • Previous work experience either servicing or installing irrigation pump systems (electrical portions) • Excellent communication, organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills • WA State Electrical License E03 or E01.
