WomenHeart, Better Breathers team up
WomenHeart (the National Coalition for Women with Heart Disease) and the Better Breathers Club, along with Quincy Valley Medical Center, have teamed up to provide education and support to anyone coping with heart disease, COPD or other lung diseases.
The free meetings are at 2 p.m. on the second Wednesday of each month. This month’s meeting is Jan. 14. The group meets in the north wing dining room of the hospital.

Seniors: Have you thought about joining?
January begins the membership drive at the Quincy Senior Center. Please stop in the center office from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Friday to speak with Debra Zolman regarding becoming a member. Or call 787-3231.
Thursday’s dinner is meat loaf, mashed potatoes with gravy and cake. Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and costs $6. Monday bridge winners were Judy Ren and Dick Bennett.
Women of the Moose to gather Monday
The Women of the Quincy Moose Lodge 1925 are asked to attend a 6 p.m. meeting on Monday at the lodge.
Bluegrass night is Saturday in George
The bluegrass band Kevin Pace & the Early Edition hits the stage Saturday at the George Community Hall, 403 W. Montmorency Blvd.
Doors open at 6:30 p.m. and the show begins at 7 p.m. Cost is $3, with a pass-the-hat for the performers.
Tourism commission reschedules meeting
EPHRATA — The Grant County Tourism Commission has rescheduled its January meeting to 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the commissioners hearing room of the county courthouse.
