Emma Corpus, 64, of Seattle, formerly of Quincy, passed away during the early morning hours on March 20, 2016, at Franciscan Hospice House in University Place.
Her death marks the end of a long battle with cancer.
She was born Nov. 28, 1951, in Edinburg, Texas, to the late Rudolfo Hinojosa and Elvira Reyes.
Emma worked in the accounts payable department for Alaska Airlines for over 40 years. She enjoyed gardening and being with her family. She believed, “Love people the way you want them to love you.”
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Jesus (Jesse) Corpus; her daughters, Estella Corpus and Sarah Bigand; and her siblings, Ramon Hinojosa, Ramiro Hinojosa, Maria Rosa Davila, Raquel Sanchez, Lenore Ohl and Rudolfo Hinojosa.
Mass of Christian Burial was Tuesday, March 29, 2016, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy. Concluding services and interment followed in the Quincy Valley Cemetery.
