Gladys D. Gallup

Gladys D. Gallup, 94, of Buckley died on Sept. 7, 2015.
She was born Dec. 11, 1920, to Arthur and Mildred Milbrandt in Crofton, Neb. She graduated from Hillsboro High School in Hillsboro, Ore., and then Gladys married Jess Gallup in 1940. She worked 19 years at Lamb-Weston in Quincy. Gladys enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles, but she especially loved being a homemaker, canning and sewing. In her later years, she enjoyed traveling the western United States.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Jess Gallup, on June 22, 1998; her son, Dan C. Gallup, on Nov. 16, 1987; her daughter, Diane C. Gallup, on March 28, 1966; and three brothers and two sisters. Gladys is survived by her daughter, Sharon Levander and husband Gilbert of Buckley; a brother, Warren W. Milbrandt of Austin, Texas; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 26, 2015, at Weeks’ Funeral Home, 451 Cemetery Road in Buckley. The inurnment service will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, at the Quincy Valley Cemetery in Quincy. Please sign the online guest book at
