Jane E. Render

Jane Elizabeth Render, 85, a resident of the Wenatchee Valley since 1951, passed away on May 9, 2016.
She was born on Feb. 2, 1931, at Newark, N.J., to the late Ralph and Christine (Kitzmocher) Averill. She met and married Thomas Render in 1951 at Milford, Mich. Jane and Thomas moved their family to Wenatchee and she found a housekeepers job at Lyles Motel. Jane then embarked on a career as a cook, starting at the A&W Drive In and then the Wenatchee School District at Orchard Middle School before ending up at Mission Vista Group Home in East Wenatchee. In the 1990s Jane commuted (before moving) to Quincy daily to operate the Quincy Senior Center. In 2001 she moved back to Wenatchee and lived at the Deaconess Apartments.
Jane was a member of the Wenatchee and Quincy First Assembly of God churches and the Quincy Senior Center. She enjoyed working with flowers, visiting her son’s farm and loved angels.
Jane is survived by her 10 children, Mary Duncan, Wenatchee; John (Jean) Render, Spokane; Michael (Marlene) Render, Auckland, New Zealand; Cathy (Glen) Graevell, Grand Coulee; Paul (Roselle) Render, East Wenatchee; William “Bill” Render, Lebanon, N.J.; Steve Render, Wenatchee; Matthew Render, East Wenatchee; Tom Render, Anaheim, Calif.; Therese Williams, Puyallup; her brother, Ralph Averill, Holly, Mich., and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
Funeral services were held on May 14, 2016, at the Evergreen Memorial Mausoleum in East Wenatchee. Her online guestbook is at www.HeritageMemorialChapel.com. Arrangements are in the care of Heritage Memorial Chapel in East Wenatchee.
