Mary F. Curdy

Mary Florence (Rogers) Curdy, 91, passed away on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015, in Quincy.

She was born on May 13, 1923, and later adopted on Oct. 8, 1932, in Skagit County to Foy Ogan and M. Florence (Lindquist) Rogers. Mary was a devoted daughter and mother, as well as a great friend. She loved poetry, tennis, collecting miniatures, reading and doing trivia that had to do with the movie stars of her era. She will be missed by all of us who felt the impact of her unconditional love.

Mary is survived by her daughter, Florence (Dick) Weber of Quincy; her son, Daniel (Nance) Curdy of Atlanta, Ga.; and seven grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, three nieces and a nephew.  She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Roger Curdy; and her sister and brother-in-law, Ed and Shirley Kaye of Arlington.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to a charity of your choice. A private gathering will be held on Friday, Jan. 23, 2015, in Stanwood. Arrangements are by Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel in Quincy.
