Memorial Day services on Monday

Memorial Day services will be held around the Quincy Valley on Monday.
Local veterans organizations, including AMVETS, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 24 and the Quincy and Ephrata American Legions, will be joining in the special services.
Services will be at 10 a.m. at Valley View Memorial Cemetery in Soap Lake, 11 a.m. at the Ephrata Cemetery and 12:30 p.m. at the Quincy Cemetery.
The services include a 30-minute ceremony and 21-gun salute to veterans who have passed away.
Also on Monday, several businesses around town will be closed in observance of Memorial Day.
All government offices, including the post office and city hall, and banks are closed on Monday. The Quincy Senior Center also will be closed that day.
