Museum opens for new season
The Qunicy Valley Historical Society and Museum is starting off the 2015 season with what promises to be both an entertaining and educational presentation about former President Teddy Roosevelt.
The museum’s first Speakers Bureau of the 2015 season is May 24. Speaking will be Sam Woodward, who will present “Theodore Roosevelt: Wilderness Warrior in Washington State.”
Woodward, a self-proclaimed history buff and ardent fan of wildlife, nature and Roosevelt, has taught history and anthropology for 30 years in the Richland School District and at Columbia Basin College.
The event starts at 4 p.m. and ends with an ice cream social in the house. The museum opens for the season at noon on May 23.
