Quincy tennis loses to Ephrata Tigers

EPHRATA – The Jacks’ tennis teams endured losses to Ephrata May 3, dropping the boys’ series 3-2 and the girls’ series 4-1.
Gonzalo Guerrero, the Jacks’ No. 2 singles player defeated Ian McDonnell 6-1, 6-0, and the team’s No. 1 doubles tandem of Gates Peterson and Randy Hodges defeated Ephrata’s Tucker Merchant and Christian Pugh, 6-4, 6-3.
Among girls, the Jacks’ No. 2 doubles team of Mariana Ramirez and Alysha Donovan defeated Taylor Perez and Sara Anderson, 6-0, 6-1.
Next up for the Jacks is a matchup against Othello at home, 4 p.m. Thursday.
