Robert K. Weber

Robert (Bob) K. Weber was born 83 years ago in Wenatchee to Quincy pioneers Henry C. and Henrietta Weber. Bob passed away on Dec. 14, 2014, in Quincy.

Bob attended school in Quincy, graduating in 1949. While in school he played eight-man football and basketball. After graduating from high school, Bob began his 65-year farming career.

Bob was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, serving many terms as an elder. He also was a charter member of the Quincy Moose Lodge and the Ephrata Elks, a member of the Quincy Rotary Club and very active in the Quincy Little League program. For many years, Bob organized and hosted a caroling party that visited many elderly and shut-in people in the community. Bob had a generous heart and loved helping people.

He married Wanda Hancock in Quincy on Aug. 10, 1952. Bob and Wanda were blessed with four children, Terri, Robin, Randy and Greg; five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Bob is survived by his wife, Wanda; daughters Terri (Merle) Wilson and Robin (John) Birks; grandchildren Seth, Cody, Jeremy, Katie and Cody; and great-grandchildren Skyler, Lexi, Colton, Gunner and Caiden; as well as sisters Betty Houtchens and Marietta Weber.

Bob was preceded in death by his sons and his parents.

We will all miss him.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 29, 2014, at the First Presbyterian Church in Quincy.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorials be made in his name to either the First Presbyterian Church in Quincy or to the Quincy Valley Historical Society and Museum.

Please leave a memory for the family or sign its online memorial register at www.scharbachs.com. Scharbach’s Columbia Funeral Chapel is assisting the family.
