Stingrays fall short vs. Ephrata

July 29, 2010 - Gates Petersen cut more than 12 seconds off his three events at last Wednesday’s swim meet against Ephrata. The 10-year-old placed first in the 100-freestyle with a time of one minute, 21.07 seconds, which was more than a five-second improvement. He also cut five seconds off his 50-yard breaststroke and placed second.

Stingrays rack up another win

July 22, 2010 - Jackson Calloway found a way to cut time in all three of his events last Wednesday in the Quincy Stingrays’ meet against the Wenatchee Racquet and Athletic Club, while Emily Bensch shaved five seconds off her 100-freestyle time.

Repeat Offenders win Mora tournament

July 01, 2010 - The 21st Annual Tony Mora Senior Memorial Softball Tournament had a familiar vibe throughout the three-day tournament. For the ninth straight year, grandson Frankie Mora Jr. and great-grandson David Stephens guided their team to the championship game. This year their ‘Repeat Offenders’ won the title game against Desert Dogs of Moses Lake.

Hector dominates at Ephrata raceway

July 01, 2010 - Next on the schedule for Ephrata Raceway Park is the Eve of Destruction featuring the world famous stunts of Mr. Dizzy. Mr. Dizzy plans three stunts during the night with plenty of car jumping, explosions and stunt thrills for the entire crowd. Also, following the night's racing will be a fireworks show. Racing on Saturday will feature the Super Stocks, Pepsi Cola Street Stocks, Kim Janke State Farm Youth Hornets and the BIG CARS. Gates open at 5 p.m. with racing after opening ceremonies at 7 p.m.
