Vivian Meyer

Vivian Rosalie (Reinke) Meyer, 89, a longtime resident of Quincy, peacefully journeyed to her heavenly home on Saturday, March 14, 2015.

Vivian was born to Ernest and Ella Reinke on March 12, 1926, in Buhl, Idaho. She married Irwin Louis Meyer on Feb. 10, 1946, in Buhl, where they farmed for five years before moving to Quincy the spring of 1955.

She enjoyed gardening, sewing, crocheting and cake decorating, making many wedding cakes and the “door-size” cakes for the 4th of July celebrations in George, Wash.

Her faith in God was strong and she shared it often with her family who she loved dearly.

Vivian is survived by her husband, Irwin Meyer of Quincy; her daughter, Lanette Mansfield of Chewelah; her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dorsey Winfree of Quincy; her grandchildren, Tony (Frances) Mansfield of Addy, Shawna (Eric) Clowser of Salem, Ore., and Jason (Nikki) Winfree of Moscow, Idaho; and 14 her great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Orville; her sisters, Luella, Lola and Delores; and a grandson, Rodney Mansfield.

A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, 214 Deacon Ave. in George.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lutheran Women’s Missionary League (LWML) at Christ the Savior Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 5325, George, WA, 98824.
