Wenatchee man charged with theft
A Wenatchee man has been charged with allegedly stealing nearly $10,000 to pay for items at two local businesses.
Justin W. Dyal, 22, was charged in Grant County Superior Court with theft of a motor vehicle and first-degree theft.
On July 28, Dyal allegedly used a stolen check to purchase a motorcycle and riding gear from Chet’s Honda, according to police. The check was written for about $7,800.
Dyal then allegedly went to Quincy’s Les Schwab, where he attempted to use an acquaintance’s account to purchase rims. When employees would not sell to Dyal, he allegedly later called the store, impersonated the acquaintance and purchased $2,000 worth of merchandise.
