Quincy Executive Apartments to open for short-term rentals
Those working in Quincy on a short-term basis may be happy to hear this: There are new options for short-term housing, besides hotels or commuting from a distance. Brand-new, furnished apartments await on F Street NE in Quincy.
Eva Freeman is a Seattle-based investor who saw the need for housing, especially for the data center and agricultural contractors.
She realized the need for this kind of housing during a conversation with a data center employee who was commuting from Wenatchee and had hit deer a few times along the way. Long days at work and the addition of a hazardous commute can get tiring very fast.
“I own 16 units here. Some are two-bedroom, some three-bedroom apartments,” Freeman said during a tour of two of her units. “The two-bedroom units have a single-car garage, while the three-bedroom units have a carport.”
The apartments are built townhouse-style, with two bedrooms, two full bathrooms and the laundry upstairs. There is a half-bath downstairs. The three-bedroom option has the third room downstairs, and it can just as easily be used as an office as a bedroom.
“I am happy to be able to offer high-speed Internet in these units,” Freeman pointed out. “It was easy to do within city limits.”
Each unit is fully furnished, including all the necessities in the kitchen and a television in the downstairs living area. That means the short-term renter won’t have to bring in pots and pans or a coffee-maker, just to mention a few of the furnishings. Towels and linens are included, as well.
“I consider short-term to be about three months,” Freeman said. “Anything less than that is a bit complicated.”
Freeman said the builder was Caleb McNamara.
Freeman’s 16 units are in four buildings in a row of nine four-unit buildings on F Street NE, all built in the townhouse style. Some of the units on the new street are occupied, and a few are still under construction.
Quincy Executive Apartments are conveniently located close to downtown Quincy: shopping and dining are just a few minutes away.
The two-bedroom apartments rent for $1,800 per month, and the three-bedroom units rent for $2,000 per month. All utilities, cable and Internet are included.
Freeman plans to have the units on F Street NE ready for occupants by Feb. 15.
For management on the property, Freeman has teamed up with Jose Saldana, of Quincy Realty. For prospective tenants, Saldana can arrange tours of the apartments. For renters, he can also arrange for cleaning services upon request.
