Burglar breaks into downtown business
A burglar shattered a storefront window at Two Doors Down this week to enter the antique and craft boutique.
The thief, or thieves, got away with an undetermined amount of money as well as some tools, said business owner Debbie Mushlitz. She estimates damages and losses to be about $1,000.
Mushlitz suspects the business was broken into late Monday night or early Tuesday morning. The thief also ransacked parts of the store.
Just last week, someone also stole an antique bicycle that was displayed in front of her store, she said.
Mushlitz, a downtown business owner for nearly two years, would like to see the city put more police patrolling the downtown as well as install cameras there to catch would-be thieves and vandals.
“Now I don’t feel safe,” Mushlitz said. “Are they going to come back tonight?”
