Seniors: Keep cool in the coming week
On the menu at tonight’s dinner at the senior center is baked salmon, lemon spaghetti, corn, coleslaw, rolls, and vanilla pudding. On the July 9 menu is chicken casserole.
Dinner starts at 6 p.m. and costs $6.
Bridge winners were Barb Kennedy and Aldene Duchscherer. Dominoes winners were Dan Neumann and Susan Lacy. Pinochle winners were Aldene Duchscherer and Nick Todd.

Female veterans invited to program
The Washington Female Veterans of Wenatchee is sponsoring on July 8 a program about female sexual abuse in the military.
Speaking will be Sarah Blum, ARNP and psycholotherapist. The author of “Women Under Fire,” Blum will talk about the past and present state of sexual abuse in the military.
The program is 5:30 to 7 p.m. on July 8 at the veteran’s hall at the Wenatchee Community Center, 512 S. Chelan Ave. in Wenatchee.

Flynn to speak at GCHS meeting
The Grant County Historical Society will have its regular board meeting on July 14.
The meeting starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Ephrata American Legion, 276 8th Ave. N.W. in Ephrata. Lunch will be served following the meeting. Cost is $5 for lunch. Please call the Legion at 754-2761 if you plan to have lunch.
Guest speaker is Daren Flynn, chairman of a committee representing Grant County Support Your Local Police. The committee is doing presentations explaining the need to support local police departments.
