Dent, Manweller to seek re-election
Two Republican incumbent state representatives recently announced they will seek re-election to the 13th District.
Rep. Matt Manweller, a two-term member of the House of Representatives and professor of political science at Central Washington University, formally announced on Monday that he will be running for re-election for the seat he holds.
“I am running because we need to keep working to shrink government, grow jobs, and unleash the potential of Washington,” said Manweller in a press release. “I believe the people of Eastern Washington are hard-working, innovative, and entrepreneurial people, they are simply overburdened by taxes, regulations, property restrictions and a run-away unelected bureaucracy.”
Rep. Tom Dent of Moses Lake also announced plans to seek a second term in the House. Dent serves on the Appropriations Committee, Early Learning and Human Services Committee, and Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee.
“I feel I have accomplished a great deal in my first term, and I am excited to continue the work the voters sent me here to do,” Dent said in a press release. “I am honored to serve and wish to continue to serve the people of the 13th District.”
