Jesus Luna, 77, of Quincy died on Thursday, March 17, 2016, due to heart complications while en route to the Quincy Valley Medical Center from his home.
He was born Oct. 9, 1938, to the late Maria de la Luz and Julian Luna. Jesus was the fourth of seven siblings. On Aug. 5, 1963, he married Margarita Flores, who survives. Jesus spent the majority of over 60 years working as a farm laborer, but retired after 15 years of being employed with Lamb Weston. He enjoyed working and just simply being outdoors, but most of all he loved serving his family.
He is survived by his sister Virginia Lopez and brother Mario Luna; his daughter and son-in-law Sandra Lynn and Sam Huntwork; his grandchildren, Jesse Huntwork, Amy and husband Ryan Rudnitsky, and Emily Huntwork. Jesus is preceded in death by his siblings Elizabeth, Roberto, Delia and Ramiro Luna and by his children Henry, Richard and Linda Norma Luna.
A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, March 28, 2016, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Quincy. It will be followed by interment at Quincy Valley Cemetery.
