Letter to the editor: Home builders group endorses Brewer

Home builders group endorses Brewer
The Grant County Home Builders Association chapter announced Oct. 16 its endorsement of Terry Brewer running for re-election to the Grant County PUD Board of Commissioners.
Terry Brewer has an extensive history of championing pro-growth, pro-business causes from serving for 15 years as Executive Director of the Grant County Economic Development Council to serving today as a Grant County PUD Commissioner.
In his time as Economic Development Council Executive Director, Terry Brewer gained a reputation as a driver who worked with both public and private partners to grow Grant County’s economic prospects by attracting new industries that create the good paying jobs that grow the economy and encourage a thriving housing market.
As Commissioner, Terry Brewer has advocated to provide electrical services at 20 percent below cost for residential, agriculture and industry ratepayers. This effort is critical to the homebuilding industry as in order to ensure regional business competitiveness, the Grant County PUD must continue to establish rates that are affordable for residential ratepayers, but also attract the industries necessary to grow Grant County for the future.
The over 50 members of the Grant County Home Builders Association promote, protect and defend the local building industry. Members include builders, sub-contractors and other industry representatives.
