More samples of West Nile Virus found in Grant County
The Grant County Health District has been notified of multiple West Nile Virus positive mosquito samples collected by the county’s mosquito control district.
To date, there have been 42 positive mosquito samples collected this season in Grant County, the health department reported this week.
In comparison, 34 positive mosquito samples were taken last year during the mosquito season.
West Nile Virus is spread to humans through the bite of an infected mosquito. There is no human vaccine for the virus.
