Obituary: Ivan Dean Bodrero
Ivan Dean Bodrero
Ivan Dean Bodrero, 84, of George, Wash., passed away at his home on Oct. 24, 2018.
He was born Nov. 28, 1933, in Logan, Utah, the youngest child of Moses Bodrero and Wilhelmina Wanner Bodrero.
Ivan grew up in Logan and his formal education was in the Logan City Schools, but his advanced education in farming, mechanics, and business came through a lifetime of hard work.
Ivan spoke fondly of playing with his friends as a child, which soon gave way to hard work on the family farm. Still a young man, opportunity called from the Columbia Basin of Washington state, where he moved to develop his own farm. He located near where the town of George would soon be established and lived the rest of his life in that area. Life was hard and work was hard in those early days, but Ivan persevered for many years to find the success he desired. He witnessed many changes, improvements, and growth in the Columbia Basin.
Ivan was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Earl, Mae, Floyd, Kenneth, Hazel, Clara, Laura, and Barbara. Surviving are many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held on Monday, Oct. 29, 2018, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Quincy, Wash.
Services will also be held in Logan, Utah, with a viewing on Friday, Nov. 2, from 10:30 to 11:30, at Allen-Hall Mortuary, 23 E. Center St., Logan, followed by a short graveside service at the Logan City Cemetery.
