QSD levy gets strong support

The majority of voters in an initial count of the Feb. 12 election ballots supported the replacement levy proposed by Quincy School District. The first tally, done Tuesday night, showed 62 percent in favor of the replacement levy.

Quincy School District, Proposition No. 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

Levy yes votes: 814, 62%

Levy no votes: 497, 38%

Total votes: 1,311

The levy requires a 50 percent approval rate from the voters in order to pass.

Other measures related to schools were on the ballot. Here are the initial results.

Royal School District, Proposition 1, Bonds to Renovate School Facilities

Approved: 396, 63%

Rejected: 233, 37%

 

Ephrata School District Proposition 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

Levy yes votes: 1,866, 77%

Levy no votes: 550, 23%

 

Ephrata School District Proposition 2, Bonds to Expand and Renovate School Facilities and Improve Safety and Security

Approved: 1,844, 77%

Rejected: 566, 23%

 

Grand Coulee School District Proposition 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

Levy yes votes: 518, 58%

Levy no votes: 373, 42%

 

Odessa School District Proposition 1, Replacement Educational Programs and Operation Levy

Levy yes votes: 315, 78%

Levy no votes: 90, 22%

 

Odessa School District Proposition 2, Replacement Capital Levy for School Improvements

Levy yes votes: 305, 76%

Levy no votes: 98, 24%
