Ramon M. Escure
Ramon Marion Escure, 66, of Telluride, Colo., passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 21, 2015, in Telluride.
Ramon was born on April 25, 1948, in Spokane. He graduated from Quincy High School in 1966. After high school Ramon obtained his bachelor’s in political science from Western Washington University in Bellingham. He earned his J.D. from the University of Puget Sound in Tacoma in 1976. Ramon practiced law in Washington and Colorado for 39 years. His passions included the law, the written word, sailing, wood working, fly fishing and spending time with his darling wife, adored children and energetic grandchildren. He was loved by all.
Ramon is survived by his beloved wife, Donna; his son, Colin Breuer of Charleston, S.C.; his stepdaughters Amber Blake of Durango, Colo., and Angie Hynes of Sarasota, Fla.; his mother, Mary Moss; his stepfather, Manuel Moss; his brothers, Bob Escure and Joe Escure; his sisters, Tina Evenson and Bernie Ovenell, both of Quincy, and Susan Escure of McMinnville, Ore.; and his grandchildren, Austin and Alexa Blake and Mia, Liam, Xan and Kyle Hynes. Ramon was preceded in death by his father, Ramon Escure, and brother, John Escure.
A memorial service was held on Friday, March 27, 2015, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church.
It was followed by a celebration of life at the Elks Club, 472 W. Pacific Ave. in Telluride, Colo. All relatives and friends were invited.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Ramon Escure Memorial Fund at ANB Bank in Telluride. Proceeds will be donated to Ramon’s life interests.
