School District removes interim tag from principal, assistant principal at QHS
Marcus Pimpleton, interim principal at Quincy High School, is interim no longer.
Quincy School District superintendent John Boyd announced tonight that both Pimpleton and assistant principal Felicie Becker will be hired on a permanent basis for their jobs. Pimpleton arrived in Quincy after last June’s sudden resignation of then-principal Debbie Belew-Nyquist. Becker was hired last July after then-assistant principal Mike Carlson left to become the principal at Granger High School.
In a press release, Boyd said he based his decisions on feedback he received from the school board, members of the high school community and other leaders in the district.
“I am confident they will continue to develop their leadership skills, community involvement and commitment to an equitable and rigorous education,” Boyd said in the press release.
