Glenn said this is the eighth year that she has brought a similar donation to the Quincy food bank. She and Alvarez, both of Sunland, brought in 445 lbs. of food collected at a Halloween party and handed Laney a check for $300, which was donated by D&L Gutters Inc.
They explained that they do this on their own, not as part of a club or association.
“We just have a good party,” Glenn said.
In April, she does a women’s show, too, and collects food then, she said.
Laney said cash is welcome along with food donations at the food bank, as sometimes certain food items need to be purchased.
